TUESDAY’S RUNNER

Posted on Jul 30, 2018 in Latest News

NAPANOOK runs in a maiden at Goodwood over 6 furlongs at 4.10pm. He has run well in all of his three starts and has been improving with each run. His form from these runs has been very strong and I am confident he will run another good race and be competitive again. Oisin Murphy takes the ride.

MONDAY’S RUNNERS (LINGFIELD (AW))

NO WAY JOSE runs in a novice race over 6 furlongs at 1.20pm. She has run two very nice maidens both at Newmarket in good company and was very unlucky not to win last time out when she couldnt get a run. I like her a lot and she is potentially a very smart filly. She has been working well at home since this last run and I am confident she will be in with an outstanding chance of winning. William Buick takes the ride.

CONTINGENCY FEE runs in a maiden over 1 mile at 3.20pm. He has run two nice races so far and has improved on each of his two starts. I expect him to make further improvement again and should have a good chance. Josephine Gordon takes the ride.

BREXITEER runs in the 2:50 at WOLVERHAMPTON, the 7F maiden. He ran very well at Chelmsford last time after a long lay off and I believe has improved for the run. Blinkers stay on and Franny Norton takes the ride. The drop back in trip should suit however the draw (9 of 12) could be better. He’s strongly fancied.

PETRUS runs in the 2:25 Handicap at Ascot. Drawn 1 of 15 over 1 mile. This looks a competitive race but I believe he is good form with a much improved run last time out at Newmarket. If he can return to his earlier form I would expect him to run a big race. He has won on good to firm so the ground should not be a problem. William Buick takes the ride.

ALMURR runs in the 4:15 at Ascot, a listed race over 7F. This also looks to be competitive with all the runners bringing form into this race. We are very happy with Almurr who I feel has improved since his win at Newbury last time. I feel that the step up to 7F is what this horse is looking for and William Buick knows the horse well having ridden him to victory. I am looking forward to seeing him run.

BELLE CHANEL runs in the 1:50 at Ascot over 7F, The Fillies Novice Stakes. On pedigrees this looks like a competitive race coming up against the half sister to Godolphin’s Wild Illusion but I do like our filly and shes got all the making of a nice horse and this looks like a nice place to start her off and give her pleasant start to her racing career. She is drawn 4 of 9, Jim Crowley takes the ride and I am looking forward to seeing her run.

TREASURE QUEST  runs in the 6:40 nursery at Newmarket over 7F. He has been so consistent for us running a creditable 2nd on his last two runs. I believe the 7F suited him last time and he will handle the ground. It looks a competitive race but with his mark of 74 and in his current form I am confident he can run a big race and better his last few results. Josephine Gordon takes the ride.

BOA NOVA runs at Newbury in the 6:10 over 6F. He is drawn 2 of 5 and has Harry Bentley on board. He ran well at Windsor last time finishing a solid 2nd. He is in great form at home and I am confident he will run well. Harry knows the horse well having ridden him twice including his winning debut at Bath. The ground should suit him.

MY LAW runs in the 6:40 at Newbury with jockey Fran Berry over 7F. She is drawn 5 of 11. She is an improving filly having progressed with every run. The 7F should suit and I am pleased with the way she has been training at home and I believe she is shaping up into a smart filly.

PHOENICIAN STAR runs at Lingfield in the 2.50pm. He is drawn 1 of 14, wears blinkers and is ridden by David Probert.

Having finished second at Wolverhampton last time, he should run another good race.

ANTHEM OF PEACE runs at Bath in the 3.30pm. He is drawn 3 of 4, wears cheek pieces and is ridden by Adam McNamara (3).

He is returning to 5 furlongs which should suit him.

He is a well bred colt who has shown promise in his work at home and we are looking forward to seeing him race.

SATURDAY’S RUNNERS

Posted on Jul 19, 2018 in Latest News

NEWBURY

BACCHUS runs in the Hackwood Stakes (Group 3) over 6 furlongs at 3.00pm. He was outstanding last time out putting in a very professional performance to win a very hotly contested Wokingham Stakes at Royal Ascot. The form in the race has worked out very well with Dreamfield the runner up going on to only be beaten 3 lengths in the July Cup. He has been in great form since this run and will have a very good chance. Frankie Dettori takes the ride.

SPARK PLUG runs in the Steventon Stakes (Listed Race) over 1 mile 2 furlongs at 1.50pm. He has been very consistent all year knocking on the door in all of his starts and has been in great form since his last run. I am confident of a good performance and he should have a great chance of winning. Jim Crowley takes the ride.

LINGFIELD

SPICE WAR runs in a handicap over 1 mile 6 furlongs at 6.45pm. He has been very consistent all year running two very good thirds and has been unlucky not to win. We have been patient with him since and he has been in great form in lead up to this run. I feel he will benefit from a step up in trip this time and will have an outstanding chance of winning. He is wearing blinkers to help him concentrate and Tom Marquand takes the ride.

FRIDAY’S RUNNERS

NEWBURY

SALAM ZAYED runs in a novice race over 7 furlongs at 2.00pm. He ran a great race last time out running 4th to the Coventry Stakes winner Calyx and has been in great form at home since this run. He will benefit from the step up in trip to 7 furlongs this time out and should have a great chance of winning. Jim Crowley takes the ride.

KAWKABBA runs in a novice race over 6 furlongs at 2.30pm. She is a very nice filly with a good page and has been very pleasing in her preparation for her maiden run. I am confident of a strong performance first time out and she should be in with a really good chance. She is wearing a tongue tie and Jim Crowley takes the ride.
