SUNDAY’S RUNNERS

YARMOUTH

NO WAY JOSE runs in a fillies novice race over 6 furlongs at 3.25pm. She has drawn 4 of 13. She fulfilled her promise from her first two starts when winning last time out at Lingfield comfortably in a decent novice race. She has been in good form at home since and should go close again. Robert Havlin takes the ride.

MENDOZA runs in a nursery handicap over 6 furlongs at 4.00pm. He has drawn 4 of 8. He has been hitting the crossbar running well in all of his starts in novices and maidens and keeps on improving with each start. I have put blinker on him this time to help him concentrate and this should bring on a improvement. He has been in great order at home and should be in with a great chance. Josephine Gordon takes the rid.

PETRUS runs in a handicap over 1 mile at 4.35pm. He has drawn 2 of 7. He has been in good form this year and run well in some very good company and was unlucky last time out when the race was run in a way which didn’t suit him. He has been in good form at home and should go well again. He is wearing blinkers and Robert Havlin takes the ride.

GOODWOOD

PHOENICIAN STAR runs in a seller over 1 mile 3 furlongs at 2.30pm. He has drawn 3 of 8. He has run well this year placing in some competitive handicaps. I feel this race should be ideal for him and he will have an great chance. James Doyle takes the ride.
